Is HBV contagious
Dear Sir/madam, I have been staying in a bachelor's house were one of mY friend is infected with HBV virus. Please share me in many ways it's spreads,we are using common bathroom does this affects us. Is there any way to take prevention

Hello. Hepatitis B is contagoius. But Sharing common bathroom will not infect you. You can have Hepatitis B vaccination. There are only 3 doses and you are free for 5 years. After 5 years you have a booster dose. The schedule is as follows: 1st dose - Day 0 ( 1st Dose) 2nd dose- after one Month of first dose 3rd dose: after 6 months from the first dose. Then you have protection for 5 years. After 5 years you should have a booster dose every 5 years. That's simple. HEPATITIS B is transmitted in other ways. You should never leave the hand of your friend. You should go for vaccination first of all. Sharing bathroom & toilet will not transmit infection. Regards.
