Is leukopenia cancerous

Asked for Female, 43 Years

Hi I am 43 year old female. Last week I had severe weakness and high grade fever. Doctors said that my white blood cells have gone very low. They termed it as leukopenia. Is leukopenia cancer? Or Is it seen only in cancer conditions? what tests should I do to check the same?

Leukopenia is not cancer. It can be seen in many other conditions, rarely in few cancers. Please get a peripheral blood smear done and review.
