Is playing ok with sciatica?
My mom is suffering from sciatica since 5 years.. she is diabetic and has a blood pressure problem too, is it ok if she play badminton with me? Or will playing makes the sciatica worse?

Sciatica Sciatica is pain along the sciatic nerve. It usually results from compression of nerve roots in the lower back. Common causes include intervertebral disk herniation, osteophytes, and narrowing of the spinal canal (spinal stenosis). SX – sharp, burning pain radiating from the buttocks down the leg, numbness, worse w/ standing. PE – IPR SRS. Inspection, palpation, ROM. Strength, radiation, sensation.

DX – • MRI, EMG.

TX – Refer to Orthopedics or Pain Specialist for appropriate management. • Analgesics, physical therapy, surgery. • Oral or epidural corticosteroids.
