You have been exclusively breast feeding and so nothing to worry even though weight is slightly more on the higher side . At times it is found the weight of breast fed babies are higher than average for the age . Because the baby is now 6 months old breast milk alone will not be sufficient to meet all the nutritional needs especially the requirements for iron . So you have to start weaning foods three times in a day and continue breast feeding till 2 years of age . Start one weaning food at a time and slowly increase its quantity.

The weight of babies should be double of birth weight at 5 months and  triple at 1 year of age. Anything grossly deviant from this should be a matter of concern. At this age, give 1 solid meal,1 top formula feed and 4 breastfeeds a day,NOT more.
