It band syndrome
Yes ,it is outside of my knee (left leg)just 2cm below the knee joint . At strating it was very painful when my leg bend to 30degrees and very difficult to take stairs , now it is free but while running or jumping for 400meters iam getting pain

Rest, ice packs application thrice daily, analgesics and avoid strenuous activities, squatting on the floor, crossed leg sitting.

Firstly get it properly diagnosed if it is IT band syndrome or something else which is giving you pain. If it is IT band then stretching of IT band and abductor muscles will help. Dry needling and cupping techniques by qualified physio will give u fast and permanent solution to this.
