Itching on body
I have itching problem from last 1.5 months. My skin becomes red and i have small patches where i feel itching. After sometime the red patches disappears and also no itching at that place but itching started at another place with red patches. I took OKACET (anti allergic tablet ) and got relief for two days but after sometime the problem again started. What to do is it fungal infection or anything else.

You are suffering from allergic dermatitis.. Medicine available for good improvement......As the treatment varies depending on the severity... Send photos of the affected area, for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Hives also called urticaria frequently occur following an infection or as a result of an allergic reaction such as to medication, insect bites, or food. Psychological stress, cold temperature, or vibration may also be a trigger.In half of cases the cause remains unknown.Risk factors include having conditions such as hay fever or asthma.Diagnosis is typically based on the appearance. Patch testing may be useful to determine the allergy.
Prevention is by avoiding whatever it is that causes the condition. Keeping the environmental tempreture cool.

You are probably suffering from what Dermatologist call urticaria. Common causes are food allergy, infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes which we call hives or wheals. Although in most cases cause remains unknown in spite of a thorough search. It can be treated with medicines so that you do not get any new hives. The treatment should be prolonged until it resolves which usually takes 1 to 6 months. Hello, your symptoms suggest that it can be allergic or fungal infection. You might require oral antibiotics to control it. It is advisable to consult a dermatologist who can examine and prescribe medicines accordingly.
