Ivp or ct scan which is best
I have a kidney stone of 1.4 cm size.Dr asked me to do ivp.but I am worried about the side effect of the contrast material.my creatinine is 0.9 And urea is 15.Can I go for ct scan (non contrast).will it reveal the renal anatomy as ivp is supposed to do?please me to choose the safe and effective method.

Have you ever had a contrast allergy , then Ivp is not an option, plain CT scan KUB region would be suffice, If a plan of stone removal by surgical procedure is planned, then IVP is the best., Because it delineate the renal anatomy well.
