Joint pain & swelling
Hello Doctor,
My mom is suffering from severe pain in joints & swelling in nerves from past 10 years.
We have taken her to many doctors but she is still suffering from pain.
As of now she is consuming Predmet 4mg antibiotic tablet. The pain is reduced only for a certain time & again the pain in joints is back.
Can I know whom to contact & meet, so that I can take her there.

Hello User ! joint pains and swelling at multiple places may be indicative of an underlying systematic abnormality leading to multiple symptoms. Predmet is basically steroid and not an antibiotic. if she has been taking this for long, there would be enormous side effects of the same. please consult your physician first to rule out any other indication for which she has been advised steroids. please taper steroids as advised eventually and start her meanwhile on the treatment regime of the underlying pathology. Likely cause of pain can be severe osteoporosis, degenerative arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or any other systemic illness.
