Kidney failure
A 9-year old boy started exhibiting abdominal pain, developed fever going from 37 - 39°C. slowly started swelling and retaining fluids. After being admitted to the hospital, his blood pressure was 160/116. He was put on fluids approx 2l/day. The urine sample is very thick and blood has a low iron value. First doctor conclusions are enlarged kidneys (both failing). They ruled out a tumour or leukaemia. They also suspect a viral infection but nothing conclusive
