Klebsiella pheumony inf.
I am suffering from chronic UTI since a few months back. Inf.type is klebsiella pheumony of 1 lac colony count and maximum antibiotics are resistant. On doctor's advise I took almost 150 nos. antibiotics both orally and Iv. After every course the inf. remains same. At least six urine cultures the inf. remaining the same. Burning sensations prevailing after urinating severe after a gap of few hours. Some test results are given herein: Serum tests:Urea-27mg/DL,Creatinine-0.9 mg/DL, Psa-4.03 mg/ml,Crp-4.2mg/l,Tlc-4.900/cumm,Dc-neutrophils-55. Prostate exam by doctor- Grll,firm & smooth,weight-35gms. Xrays-- Uroflometry-ok,max.flow rate-40.3%per sec.Normal flow rate. CT UROGRAPH-- Normal, nothing adverse detected. I am a Htn patient taking minipress xl 5mg, Stamlo- 5mg, Contiflo- icon - 0.4 mg,Alzolam- 0.25 mg at night, Softovac powder for bowel clearance regularly. I am very worried and depressed as the Uti is prevailing for several months inspite of prolonged treatment. No fever.

Hi.... Drink plenty of water. Water helps to dilute your urine and flush out bacteria. Avoid drinks that may irritate your bladder.Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices or caffeine until your infection has cleared. They can irritate your bladder and tend to aggravate your frequent or urgent need to urinate.... Continue with medications....
