Knee and ankle pain
My knees are swelled little bit .I can walk with little pain.I am a lecturer so I need to stand for approximately 5 hours in class and would need to attend classes at different floors. Our college is a 5 storeyed building.I have no BP and no diabetes. I went on a medical treatment for this knee problem by consulting an orthopedician 6 years earlier. He gave me calcium tablet and B Complex and suggested me not to sit on the floor frequently.I request for an appropriate medical treatment for this problem.

Consult a doctor for clinical examination and x-rays of your knees. If it is osteoarthritis, management will depend on  the degree of damage. Physiotherapy and appropriate medication can delay the process of degeneration if it is of mild to moderate grade. If it is severely damaged u may need a knee replacement.
