ACL avulsion is just like a fracture. In your case it is displaced. 100% surgery- arthroscopic screw fixation/ suture repair is advocated.

Share x-rays and MRI. Consult Orthopaedic surgeon.

Do not worry. When there is a avulsion, the original ligament length is lost, ligament becomes slack. You will not have the original tension and strength of ACL here. There might be instability later . Once fixed in correct position, the ACL will get back its length and tension which is important for knee function .
