You can try: Tab synertab, cartigen DN..twice daily for a month or two. Also visco-supplementation is possible with monthly/yearly injections. But they only work in early arthritis. They fail easily when bone touches bone in the knee(Gr 4).

Regular knee exercises and ice pack application will be helpful. Age is no concern for TKA, only that your patient should be fit for anaesthesia and her OA status should be worth doing TKA.
