Knee twist feeling
My mother is 55years old. She felt twist in knee joint and ita very painful even she can not stnad in that time. Please tell me what could be the possible reason

Get a MRI done to rule out intrarticular pathology of ligaments or meniscus and X-rays to rule out fracture.
Apply ice packs locally.
Do not walk over injured knee.
Keep injured knee elevated.
