Knees and ankles swelling
Hi,
My wife has been having swelling in her knees and ankles. When she stands for long periods the swelling aggravates and becomes quite uncomfortable with a feeling of restlessness. She then has to lie on the bed and keep her feet elevated. So the swelling lessens a bit but doesn't go off completely. Are we missing something here???

Hi there...swelling of legs could be due to several reasons like venous insufficiency, cardiac abnormalities, protein deficiency, renal disease. She will need a detailed clinical examination and further investigations. So kindly consult a general physician for further evaluation.
