I would suggest you to go by your Physiotherapist's advice. Lumbar belt usage at this age is not advisable. You can start walking after practicing 10 days of your back strengthening exercises to get good support and posture while walking. Then you can continue exercises with walking.

Lumbar belt if used for prolonged duration can cause weaking of abdominal and back muscles. Thus preventing them from supporting the spine. Avoid using the belt as a form of treatment. Apply ice pack 2-3 times for pain relief and avoid any aggravating activities (walking, prolonged sitting, forward bending) till the pain subsides.
Next Steps
Apply ice for pain relief as advised earlier. Mild exercises for pain relief and posture corrections (as advised by your physio).
Health Tips
Posture correction and back care. Follow correct ergonomics to prevent further episodes. Core and back strengthening exercises.

Your physio is right. At such a young age you should avoid using the belt. The simple logic is that when you start using the belt your belt works to support your spine instead of your back and abdominal muscles , making these muscles weaker in the long run. As for walking, avoid long walks as a form of exercise for the time being ,till your physio gives a green flag.
Next Steps
Focus on abdominal, back , core muscles and pelvic muscles strengthening programme  under your physio 's guidance . This shall help you keeping your spine upright in the long run as you age.

posture correction

you should not buy it. it is like a helper in your home if he is at home you wont go to open the door, but if he is not at home then definitely you will go. then the muscle same as like if u will give him support they wont work by their own and get weaken.
Next Steps
consult your physiotherapist.
Health Tips
strengthen your back muscles for good posture.

You could use a lumbar belt if your pain is very bad and if there is instability (side of spine is fractured) and also with bad leg pain referral. In this case you could use a stick too. The other option is using taping along the affected segments with rigid tape. This is localised support. Otherwise, If you were older it usually better to use a belt
Next Steps
Walking short distances is fine, but too long too soon mite hurt.
Health Tips
Belt usage depends on your pain levels...

Actually it is true it is just for support . If you use that regularly it will make your muscles weak. Better avoid it and do regular exercises.
