You are advised to breastfeed exclusively at regular intervals, maintain body temperature, avoid infections in the baby & give supplements as medically advised.

Exclusive demand feeding is the ideal schedule to follow. There is no ‘tailor made schedule’, as milk production, sucking habits, stomach capacity etc., vary from baby to baby. Practise frequent breastfeeding initially and allow ‘self-regulation’ by the baby. You can soon find out the average time interval the baby will rest after a feed. You can adjust his rest period in between. Almost all mothers can be relied upon to practise demand feeding. With time you will know why your baby is crying; e.g., is it to sleep? Is it due to illness? etc. There is no need to give boiled and cooled water or fruit juice in between while the baby is on exclusive demand feeding.
Next Steps
Since ur baby is Low birth weight he will require special care and more frequent feeds in small quantities. Follow ur Neonatologist or Pediatricians advise.
Health Tips
Adding human milk fortifier and supplements to his milk will help un good weight gain.

As your baby is 1.9kgs it's good weight and no need for extra precautions. You have to give breast feed on demand.
