These symptoms could be arising from either a muscle strain or from a small disc bulge. Take painkillers but AVOID Nimesulide as there have been some adverse reports from other countries about Nimesulide. Add Diclofenac or Ibuprofen to help with pain. Use hot fomentation and continue to stay active. Use a flatter pillow and avoid any strain on neck. If your symptoms improve over the next few days then wait and way. If they do not improve then see a Spinal Surgeon for assessment and investigations as appropriate. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)

Don't worry it's muscle spasm and neural compression, it will be recovered within a week by physiotherapy. Go and take physiotherapy sessions daily for a week
