As the problem is acute, it should usually subside with medicines..
How did it started.. Was there any jerk while working or lifting weight.
Next Steps
I will suggest you to continue the medicines which you are taking for atleast 7 days for now.. Also, start with hot fomentation, apply analgesic ointment locally..

If the pain persists, plan to get some investigations like x ray or blood investigations to rule out any inflammatory pathology..
