Today I was playing my lacrosse game and I fell directly on my left shoulder. I soon had to come out of the game and let my coach check it. He believes my rotator cuff is causing the pain. Several hours after the game my neck started hurting and it continues to hurt along with my shoulder.

The mechanics of your fall or how you fell and which part hit the ground first, there are different parts which may have been injured.
You may have sprained your shoulder girdle muscles which may include your trapezius and the rotator cuff muscles. There may be an added element of AC joint sprain.
You need proper assessment before starting any rehabilitation.
