Left ventricular systolic dysfuntion
Hi My sisters Cardiology ultrasound report shows that she is suffering from Dilated cardiomyopathy,severe left ventricular systolic dysfuntion(EF-33%),severe pulmonary artery hypertension(RVSP-78mmhg).Could you please help to answer about treatment options available for this condition(as doctor has said that there is no surgery possible,Worried).

1) DCMP is a diagnosis of exclusion. It is a disease that affect myocardium and damages it. As a consequence heart function dips. Common causes-: Post myocarditis especially viral, ischemic, drug toxicity’s and in females post partum cardiomyopathy. 2) Treatment options are limited. Good medical therapy with some lifestyle modifications. Regular 2 weekly check ups 3) Heart transplant is always an option
