ACL tear with Lateral meniscus tear in a young person is an indication for surgery. The injury as you say occurred 15 years ago when you were in your teens would mean that meniscus repair would be difficult. I would advice you to undergo an arthroscopy of the left knee planning for an ACL reconstruction + Meniscal repair/ replacement
Next Steps
Please visit an Orthopedic surgeon.
