Lipid profile
I have got a lipid profile check for my dad. Everything seems normal except the HDL cholesterol to be 39. I've attached the report, please suggest it it is anything serious and also on how to maintain a good HDL cholesterol?

The lipid profile is good. LDL levels and triglyceride levels which are important targets are well within the range. The HDL levels could be better, but no reason for worry. Regular physical activity and quitting smoking if you do are a few ways to raise HDL levels. Are you on any medications? How old are you? Are you a diabetic? Do you have a family history of heart disease? These questions are important to answer when analysing a lipid profile report.
