Lips drying
Sir/Madam,my father undergone radiation for throat cancer 6 months back and he recovered from covid recently.from past 1 month his lips are getting dryed frequently. He is taking good amount of fluids but still lips are getting dryed.what should we do to overcome this problem?

Is the mouth also getting dry? After radiation these effects are anticipated. There is "E SALIVA",  An artificial saliva which can be sprayed in mouth and aplied on lips. U can use it for sure. As head and neck oncosurgeon we regularly prescribe the same to our patients post chemoradio.

Give vit C tablet twice a day and apply Vaseline on his lips frequently to keep the lips moist .
