Why ursocol is given for patient fo liver cirrhosis..thought it is contraindicated ..wat is d best treatment for liver cirrhosis???

Ursocol consists of liver enzymes and bile salts. It is like supportive to your liver function since in cirrhosis liver function decreases. So these bile salts are given from outside as replacement. There is nothing like best treatment for cirrhosis of liver . Treatment given is mostly symptomatic along with drugs to improve liver function and drugs as substitutes of liver enzymes and bile salts. If liver function detoriates liver transplantation is ultimate treatment
