Loss of smell and taste
Hello. I am a little bit scared right now because I cannot smell or taste very well. I had an abscess in my nose which was surgically extracted. Then I was on very strong antibiotics that were stopped due to extreme side effects. Will my sense of smell and taste come back to normal? This has been a terrible week and I am feeling very discouraged. Thank you very much in advance.

Usually after acute bacterial infection followed by antibiotics and other medications it is common to see decreased sense of smell and taste. Usually it will recover eventually after few days. You may need to take nutritional supplements
