Dear Madam, Any acute back pain with radiation to the leg is a sign most commonly of a prolapsed intervertibral disc. before you go for any physio or an X Ray, try to find what started your pain, was there any factor like lifting of heavy weight, Primarily just rest and take analgesics, if it gets ok not need to move further, but if it persist you need an orthopaedic consultation.
Greetings, sorry to hear that. your pain is not a thing to be worried, just that you have lost flexibility at spine and hips. Answering your question I have made best effort to not be baised about my profession by asking you to consult physio. Massage also helps but it should be followed by exercise, hence I have suggested seeking physio consultation.
Next Steps
see a physio near you and get trigger point therapy plus core strength and flexibility program. you will start to feel better from day one of treatment. treatment program will last anywhere from 2 weeks to a month or as needed, but definitely you will get pain relief.
Health Tips
if for various reasons you couldn't get pain relief in first 1 week of physio treatment let me know will assist you.
