Problem:
I am facing lower back pain. The pain is negligible , but it is irritating and disturbing my mood.
Symptom:
When I turned my upper part of body from right to left, I hear a "tick" sound from right side lower back.
I get the urge to do this frequently if I am walking or sitting.
Duration of problem: approximately since 1 year.
Lifestyle:
I am working as software engineer since 2011. Since 2016 I have very less physical activity. I sit for nearly 12 hours a day.
Question:
I am not sure if this is a problem to be consulted by orthopedic or physiotherapist. So I am asking the question here.

Hi.. u need to visit physiotherapist only.. he can teach u core n back strengthening exercises . Also ask him ergonomic advice related to ur work.. keep doing the suggested exercises atleast 4 days week
Health Tips
take frequent breaks from sitting position
do some spine stretching exercises
don't twist ur upper back frequently
If the pain is not continuous then exercises is the mantra . Try strengthening your core muscles. I will post one of my video here try doing those exercises.

Better visit a ortho first have a x ray done to rule out that the back is safe and then proceed for a Physio who will guide you in pain relief and teach u some sort of exercises for the back since ur job is a desk mode u may have less physical activity so better take care of not putting more weight
The tick sound from ur back is quiet normal. The only way to get rid of ur back pain is to avoid continuous sitting by repositioning urself in nearly 1 hr. Don't sit for more than 1 hr, then walk for 2-3 min and then again do ur work on chair. Place a cushion between ur seat nd ur lower back. And drink as much water as u can.
Next Steps
if pain still there after 1 week then u have to consult an orthopedician or a physiotherapist.
Health Tips
don't sit for long as "SITTING is the new SMOKING".
