I have a Titanium Elbow implant in my Right hand since 2013. Which was fitted after my elbow was broken after a fall.
Now after 7 yrs I see a unusual spongy lump in the Elbow. Which isn't painful. Not sure why I got this lump. Is there a way to determine if this lump is a tumour or something else. Please advise.

This may be a reactionary fluid filled sac (bursa) or a lipoma originating due to irritation of skin by the implant.
Next Steps
Get implant removed and the swelling removed/decompressed.
Health Tips
Implants around ankle, elbow should not be kept for long.
As the soft tissue are thin at these places, there is a high chance of implant prominence, irritation to skin.

Hello Practo User,
It would have been better if you posted your x-rays also.
This swelling could be due to implant irritation under the skin...if so implant has to be removed.
Regards.
