Hi ! Thanks for your query. If you have a boil, first of all resist the temptation to squeeze it. This only increases the infection and might leave a scar after it is healed completely. A boil is a pus filled skin infection that occurs around a hair follicle or oil gland. The causes for boils can be ingrown hair, acne and pus abscess. They can also be caused due to hormonal imbalances. Boils require proper course of medications to avoid them from spreading to other body areas. Usually the bacteria in boils is Staphylococcus or Streptococcus bacteria-and right away most dermatologists will prescribe an antibiotic for you to take that treats them.
