Menstrual problems
I have hypothyroidism.I am taking thyronorm 100 mcg for 4 months. After taking this medicine my periods got irregular.once the period starts the flow is also very irregular,slow,and prolonged.periods also last for more than 7 days.Is this thyroid medicine is disturbing my periods like this and should i take this medicine during periods or not.previously i never had irregular periods and my periods used to last in 5 days. I am trying for pregnancy for 2-3 months but because of this irregular periods I am not able to find out when ovulation happens. plz help doctors. Thanks in advance.

Hello....  Hypothryroidism is associated  with  irregular periods..  You have to take medications regularly otehrwise harmone shoots up and you will  develop symptoms.  Regularly  test  your thyroid profile and consult gynaecologist doc may  prescribe  ovulation inducing drug if necessary..
