Is it possible to have periods of 40 days? because my girlfriend's previous period was of 40 days but her regular period was of 30 days... please help me out..

It is not possible.May be she is having Pregnancy or delayed period due to effect of emergency contraceptive pill.Do pregnancy test either by urine or blood.Bhcg is blood test and confirmatory also.
