Mentally ill
Hello doctor I am staying with my husband and inlaws in mumbai. My inlaws keep on taunting me for some reason or the other. My husband always tell me to ignore and assure me that they will change. But the same is not happening. I feel good after crying for 1-1.5 hrs everyday. Nobody value my tears. Before marriage life was super cool. I have never experienced such kind of environment. What treatment should I take? I don't want to see my husband sad. How can I mentally prepare myself to listen all the stuff by my inlaws? Please guide me

Marriage can be a huge change in one's life. It's understandable that adjusting to various kinds of personalities in your husband's home may be challenging for you. It's important however, to explore these issues, and to understand where they are resonating with your own beliefs and concepts about people and relationships. You may be able to cope a lot better when you get more insights into the equations you tend to share with people around, and also with your own self.
Next Steps
something like this doesn't require medications atleast prima facie. it does require engaging with a therapist for few sessions and exploring ways of coping better. I would therefore recommend instead of waiting on it, consult me or any other Therapist of your choice and start with therapy. the changes you see in yourself will soon be evident.
Health Tips
don't go for medications without trying therapy just yet. since the root cause would still remain unchanged.
