I was on metformin for pcod . 2months ago I was blessed with a baby girl.At present I am breastfeeding .My weight has increased even more than when I was pregnant.I am 88.7 kg now. Also my periods have not yet come after delivery.Can I start metformin now ?Will my taking metformin affect my baby in any way and will metformin interfere with milk production

Don't start metformin, follow healthy lifestyle take healthy balanced diet green vegetables salads and seasonal fruits and do regular exercises brisk walk avoid stress

Metformin is never for weight reduction , it is just added benefit.
If u r breast feeding your baby tht itself is the best weight shading measurement
Start dietary modification to some extent , don't do any fancy diets as u r breast feeding
I suggest start yoga or suryanamskar after 8 to 10. Weeks , helps a lot
No need to start Metformin because it lowers blood sugars and breast feeding also lowers blood sugar
