Metosartan 50 for ILD/CKD Patients
Hi Dr. My mother is ILD (Interstitial Lungs Disease) and CKD patient. She was prescribed Metosartan 50 (with composition Telmisartan 40mg+Metoprolol Succinate 50mg) to control high BP. But other Physician stopped it saying not safe for her and it reduces heart or pulse rate as well. Is it safe for her? Please advise. Thanks.

If the creatinine level is high and above a certain level then telmisartan is not safe. Metoprolol primarily is used for heart rate control and it also reduces BP.
