Breast milk is the best thing for newborns
If mother is able to feed....don't deny it
If mother is seriously ill......only then consider giving Formula milk any brand Stage 1
Breast feeding is paramount for the baby and the benefit outscores the risk to the baby from corona as WHO guidelines point.
I think you should continue to breastfeed if you are not seriously down.
According to recommendations and guidelines, if mother is comfortable and mild to moderate symptoms of covid-19 ,then she can give breast milk with precautions ( hand washing and wearing mask) or by express breast milk and given by other with spoon.
If mother is not comfortable or having severe sypmtoms of covid-19 or she is hospitalized, then you can give formula milk ( stage 1) but make sure to restart breast milk as soon as mother is recovered and comfortable.
Next Steps
you can give any of above mentioned. restart mother's milk as soon as possible and give exclusively breast milk after that.
Health Tips
Mother should take full rest and not take tension or worry as that may decrease milk output.
mother should take adequate liquids, milk and fresh food.
don't use bottle.
