Minioxdil usage and hairfall
Why minioxdil gives hairfall in some patients I used it for 5 month my hairs was shedding very rapidly than I stopped it it's 6 month now still I am lossing my hairs why so is it due to ao side effects?? I used minioxdil on doctor's recommendation for a frontal bald patch my harmones are perfectly balanced and don't have family history but minioxdil has made my life miserable now what can be done in this situation I want to go back to the first day when I started using minioxdil if it is not due to minioxdil than hairfall won't have occured so suddenly while using minioxdil and would have been treated with minioxdil and if dermetalogist are highly trained in hairs issues why they prescribed only 1 medicines which doesn't work at all and is full of side effects I would have tried natural treatments if I would have known this on the first day

Minoxidil is the one of the FDA approved medication for hairfall, and has sufficient scientific evidence in improving hair fall. It does have side effects hence should be used under medical supervision Hair fall has many causes, not one formula works for all. Better have proper consultation for your hair fall concerns and customised treatment plan

Hello dear. Minoxidil does cause paradoxical hairloss initially. It lasts for 4-6 weeks and then new growth starts. All hairs are not the same. Some are in resting phase, some dormant and most are in active growing phase. Anyway, if you don't want to continue minoxidil, which is considered to be the gold standard FDA approved treatment,  there are many other options available Kindly consult online for a proper evaluation and detailed prescription

Minoxidil may cause Hairloss in the 1st 4 weeks because of its mode of action. In simple terms, it sheds the damaged hair fast, so that better hair growth is seen afterwards. You have to do atleast a monthly follow up with your dermatologist to alter the treatment as per required, as Minoxidil comes in different concentration. Also, Doing on and off treatment, having gaps in between will not give proper result. Minoxidil is the only molecule in the world which has sufficient evidence to reduce hairfall. But it has to be used under proper guidance.
