Can Minoxidil increase eye pressure for people who are Glaucoma suspect? I am a Glaucoma suspect and I have been prescribed Tugain 10% for hairfall by dermatologist.

Hi, although uncommon at your age, minoxidil in a recent study has shown to increase the intraocular pressure in the eye in men above the age of 60 years. The rise in the pressure can lead to glaucoma if left unchecked
Next Steps
Discuss with your dermatologist alternative options available for hair loss. Have a baseline Intraocular pressure test and routine check with your Ophthalmologist. If it’s a short duration we could still consider therapy with minoxidil
