Missed period
My period is 8days late and I am not sexually active. Am just 20 years old. All the menstrual symptoms are all gone after 5days.

Hello. Your concern is understandable. Firstly, please confirm that you are not pregnant. Normally,it is not alarming for periods to be late by a week or so once in a while. If this is happening for the first time, it is advisable to wait and notice a similar pattern of occurrence in subsequent months. Irregular periods are frequently seen in people who are suffering from thyroid disease, PCOS. Apart from hormonal causes, change of location, new job or study routine cause stress, which also affects your periods. Don't worry, observe the pattern, if any and consult again after 3 to 4 months Take care
