Moderate Acne
I am having acne from last 7 years, I have taken many medications. The condition of my skin improved for some months, but when acne came i started taking medication and again it went. My skin had been good since last 7-8 months but due to too much exposure to sun on a trip, it came back. I have cystic acne mostly , my dermatologist prescribed me doxycycline and two weeks are completed but I am not seeing any improvement also i have many new pimples on my forehead and cheek. So, are they because of antibiotics? I just want to get rid of these big bumps asap. Please suggest.

You seem to be suffering from grade 4 acne as you say you ate having cysts. These if left untreated will cause scarring. Doxycycline is indeed effective for acne but you have to be patient and keep faith in your doctor. Please follow the treatment meticulously. Do talk to your Dermatologist for some additional options like chemical peeling. Regards, Dr.Shruti Jadhav Devershi, Sólskin professional Dermacare, Kharadi, Pune

You need to undergo virechana karma once in Ayurveda centre. Later take medicines Saribadyasava 15ml with water twice daily after food. Tab Chandanadi vati 2tab twice daily after food. Use kunkumadi taila mixed with shatadhauta gruta for application.
