Moderate hydronephrosis
My wife is 35 weeks pregnant. As per recent reports, fetal right kidney shows moderate hydronephrosis with dilated renal pelvis. She is currently residing in Jodhpur and will be delivering in Jodhpur most probably Goyal hospital. How worse is the situation? What we need to do before and after delivery in terms of diagnosis? Should we opt for pre-term delivery via csection? Will there be a need for surgery for diagnosing kidney? Kindly suggest.

Hello. The condition detected prenatally is usually transient in nature. Prenatal surgery is not common for that. You can take your wife to a nearby consultant for a clinical evaluation.
