Mouth burning due acid intake
My mother accidentally put a spoon of some acid in her mouth. After reliasing something unusual, she didn't shallow but threw away after around 30-40seconds interval. We didn't know it was acid on that day. After a day or two she realised that there is still irritation in her mouth. She is not able to feel different tastes, some part of tongue had unusually softened  and some part of her teeth had blackened. Now, it has been around 20days and she is still not able to feel different taste and there is still the irritation. Any suggestion on how to cure this? Will the tongue and mouth naturally come to the normal state with taste buds heeled?

Please elaborate on what kind of acid is it. Is it acetic acid or something else. Treatment depends upon the extent of damage also. So better to visit a hospital to assess the damage and get treated.
