If certainly its PCOS then yes this medicine would help you have regular periods.
More concern is your about your weight and why you had only one period last year.
Has your doctor suggested any hormonal tests if not then better to get them done.
Plus did u have regular periods before or since beginning they are like that?
Lastly better take this Med to protect yourself against pregnancy at present
You may require other form of treatment for pregnancy.
