My dog bite me 2 months back, not that serious, a minor bleeding , more like a cut(. i got myself vaccinated for rabies). went for a blood test. blood reports came and my rbc is 5.01 but should be 3.8-4.1, my rdw cv is 16.3 but should be 11.6-14.0 and my mpv is 9.80(unsually high) its should be 0.5-2.5. before the tests doc asked me to visit a psycholgist. can it be stress or something i should worry about? any idea what can it be?

Hello User. Went through your post, the elevated RBC count is seen in smokers, people living in high altitude or sometimes if person is dehydrated.       If you have any such thing as mentioned above that could be the cause. People with respiratory problems like asthma or COPD can also have such things and RDW is reflection of your elevated RBC count.     It is not a serious problem any way unless you have any above problem which will need to be addressed.
