I am diagnosing for tmj disorder. So after 1 year my doctors were cutted my splint and metal braces were putted on my front upper teeth. Now I can feel that the splint becomes heavily loosed after cutting into small one. Now when I try massage my right cheek muscle through my hand every time I listen some clicking type sound from my muscle. Also I see that my right side of face below masseter muscle is down than my left. What is reason behind this sound and how can I solve it?

TMJ disorder often leads to facial asymmetry and clicking. The problem can be resolved by splint and physiotherapy. Your Orthodontist will help you with this. Soft splints are often helpful in the initial stage, then proceeding to a hard splint.
This is a Tempromandibular joint problem. Has nothing to do with muscle. There is disk present between the joint and the skull. Till the time they move together it’s ok. Any discrepancies in the movement will produce a sound/click.
Your jaw size can differ because of many reasons. Diagnosis is only by a radiograph.
Next Steps
An OPG for jaw size. MRI for joint. And further evaluation.
Health Tips
Reduce mouth opening. Take small bites. Open your jaws less. Hot fermentation if pain increases.
HI,well from the description that you are giving regarding your problem,it seems that the splint should be worn for atleast a year or so,,do moist heat fomentation by dipping a towel in hot water and applying over the jaw joint 4-5 times daily along with soft diet.Surgery does not have a good prognosis,,so you should think of supportive measures as far as possible, reduce the stress level.
