My 2 year old daughter
Hi I've been really worried over night, my daughter developed a very large gland in her neck just one side x2 weeks on Monday it appeared rather quick took her to gp he felt around its very hard no redness though or not much discomfort, he requested a full bloods, I went back yesterday not able to see GP too busy as usual, her bloods are back and receptionist said white cell count is 18 instead of 11? She is 2 years old no other symptoms two weeks ago when the lump was noticed she was running a

She seems to have developed acute cervical lymphadenitis secondary to bacterial infection. Usually during acute infection the white blood cell count rises. She may need to take antibiotics and analgesics for few days
