A 10 year old boy sucking thumb shows he is feeling loneliness and insecurity for some reason which you should try to find out. Passing stools in the clothes too is sign ofhis nervous bowels. May be there is some weakness in sphincter muscles of anus for which he needs to be examined by a proctologist. Spend more time with your son, boost his confidence about things he feels insecure about, possibly in school, amongst peer group not involving him in their activities, ridiculing him for his thumb sucking habit.
