Hi, Along with medication, psychotherapy (counselling CBT,mCBT, relaxation therapy, talk therapy etc) produces better results. These medications are generally tapered and stopped after being better at least for 6 months. Try these techniques for better results 1 Learn relaxation techniques like slow deep diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation technique 2. Practice yoga and meditation 3. Practice mindfulness 4. Regular physical exercise 5. Avoid alcohol and smoking 6. Good balanced diet 7. Good night sleep 8. Quality family time 9. Good social network 10. Keep yourself occupied with work that you love
Next Steps
You can consult me for both medication and psychotherapy

Change of Consultant is your preference... And treatment given is to be decided by consultant.... Answer to second part of your question... Yes exercise, pranayam, meditation will help in anxiety disorder... But if anxiety is severe it may require medical treatment... Above practices if continuied as lifestyle will help you coaping and preventing severe anxiety in future once you get over current episode..
