How long has it been? Should be work related at your age. Maintain ergonomic postures while working, do regular general conditioning exercises and neck exercises and avoid long hours infront of screen. Take intermittent breaks. That would help

Cracking is generally seen in joints due to trapping of gas. Not unusual in neck but mostly in person or keeping fit. So do regular exercises and take healthy diet. Avoid too much screen time and stress. Thanks
