Need an Alternate to Diamox
Traveling to Leh Ladakh for 10 days and need an alternative for Diamox which does not have sulfur. As i am allergic to Erithorcin and Bactrim. Diamox is used to help cope with AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)

Hello. Very Good evening. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. If you are allergic to diamox, then you should try Tab. CoQ10,  1 capsule twice a day,  2 days before your ascent.  Avoid Drinking and smoking which aggravate the problem. Drink plenty of water. You can also try ginko biloba which works Very well in Altitude sickness. By the way up to which height you are ascending more precisely. When you reach there be relaxed and don't take unnecessary stress and stop worrying which increases the intensity of problem. I hope you got your answer. Take care and good luck for your journey.
